To take part in the self-esteem campaign in Australia, in 2020 Zita Cherry launched the "Be Your Beautiful Self!" programme to support children and their families.

No young person should be held back from reaching their full potential. Low body confidence and anxieties over appearance stop young people being their best selves, affecting their health, friendships and even performance at school.

Cherry`s mission is to ensure that the next generation grows up enjoying a positive relationship with the way they look - helping young people raise their self-esteem and realise their full potential.

Being a portrait photographer I have the power to show you the beauty what`s inside of you. - My name is Zita Cherry, I am an award winning portrait photographer located in Brisbane.

I was born in Serbia and finished my schools in Hungary. Before I settled in Australia, I lived in Belgium where I met my husband Jacob who is my partner also in the photography business. He is specialized in commercial work and we work as a team at weddings.

Living in Australia for the past 2 years I have learned that the children in schools are often bullied. In our community of photographers we talk a lot about this issue and some photographers already took some actions to help with much success.

Over the past years I recognized the impact that photography can have and I see the potential to change young lives. With this private portrait session children will have a unique experience helping them feeling special, worthy and beautiful with their freckles, red hair or glasses ... this will change the way how they look at themself.

The photoshoot itself is a very relaxed approach designed to build self esteem for children between the ages of 8-16 who are bullied or lacking in self confidence. It is a wonderful experience for the children being photographed by a professional. Parents will receive all information what to bring, how to prepare and what to expect on the day.

Using our online application form parents can book a "Be Your Beautiful Self!" photo shoot in less than 3 minutes. Due to high amount of interest these sessions are limited and $99 booking fee is required upfront to secure the photo shoot and is non-refundable. The booking fee is covering a pre-consultation* (on clothing and styling) and the 30 minutes personalised portrait session on location.

The best images from the photo shoot will be edited with Cherry`s contemporary style and presented in a beautiful portfolio keepsake box. The mounted prints are ready to be framed or can be treasured as it is for a lifetime. All products are custom made by pro-lab.

It also includes the processed digital files in hi-res which can be accessed via online gallery for download and sharing.
