From deep reds to dusty blues, 2018 wedding colours are soft, romantic, and incredibly chic!

The charm of a fall and winter wedding is unmistakable when it comes to wedding colour schemes! There are limitless possibilities with shades of autumn that you can try and experiment with. Your color choices aren’t limited to oranges, yellows, browns, and reds, beautiful jewel-inspired hues and earthy tones are also apropos if you’re having your wedding during the fall months.

MARSALA & ROSE

A brown-based red and burgundy which is rich and earthy, Chili Oil is gorgeous shade to tie-the-knot with on the ski slopes, in a wintry country affair or at an elegant do in an historic house or vintage-inspired venue. Pair with twiggy arrangements on the mantlepiece, deep green bouquets and ivy garlands.

ROSE & SERENITY

It’s as refreshing as it is romantic.

And although we think it would work perfectly for a spring or summer wedding, we can also see it fitting in with a serene fall or winter backdrop.

There are many advantages to having your wedding during spring and summer, especially the summertime; you have so many great options for your wedding themes and colour schemes! Timeless summer wedding colour ideas are always simple and natural, which is why I’m pulling my favorite summer color combinations from gorgeous wedding flowers enjoying their seasons. DUSTY PURPLE

A soft, romantic shade falling between a violet and a rose, this understated tone is one for the true romantics. Use it in an embellished belt or sash for the bride, in the groomsmen's ties to match blushing bridesmaids or in old-school floral arrangements in vintage vases.

Or go for deep purple colour. Original, magical and somewhat surprising, Ultra Violet is a glorious attention-seeking shade which will lift the mood in any contemporary wedding setting. A favourite with creative and spiritual types, we love it in garlands, in a big sash around a bold bouquet or in hanging bouquets above farmhouse tables.

DUSTY SLATE BLUE & BEIGE

Another soft and romantic palette that works with any season, these colours are the perfect blend of elegance and nature. It consists of dusty blue, beige and shades of greenery to give it that rustic touch. And you can add hints of platinum to kick up the formal feel of it.

When starting planning the big day, bride and groom will first of all choose their colours and themes. We’ll see more soft and elegant colors for 2018, like dusty rose, mauve and dusty blue, which will work well with a lot of colours like navy blue and neutral colours.

Just like your wardrobe, your wedding colour scheme can be inspired by the time of year you're saying “I do." Think about the shade you want to use to bring out the season in your colour palette. Rosy pink is perfect for spring, while a brighter coral is a summer staple. For fall, a rich fuchsia pairs well with other jewel tones, and blush and silver are a pretty wintry combo.

Don't shy away from colors you love though just because of seasonal colour rules. Light pastels and barely there hues, like buff, can work for a fall or winter wedding. The trick is to concentrate on texture, and maybe even bring in a stronger accent color.
