As a Brisbane wedding photographer with cherryphotography I see hundreds of locations and see many couples fall into the trap off spending thousands of unnecessary dollars on locations and wedding planners.
This can be so easily avoided by setting some time aside to research and contact various vendors.
I have put together a few various locations that I personally enjoyed working at with the couples their family and friends and at a minimum cost.

The food here is excellent with great seafood range and very private and but still accessible location for all your guests.
Walkabout Creek great location nestled amongst the bush and the edge of a little lake with a beautiful tree canopy giving relief from the bruising sun.
Factory 51 urban location in Brisbane small function center but EXCELLENT food great staff and perfect for your more non traditional-hip and fun themed weddings great for younger couples.
Heritage vineyard One of the most beautifully set locations for large number of guests . Deep in the Tamborine Mountains out of the hustle and bustle of Brisbane. Scenic location with its own outdoor wedding venue overlooking wonderful green rainforest.
Then migrate inside to the banquet hall to enjoy a lovely meal, canapés and drinks.
